GARDEN TO PARKING

Welcome to my webpage where you will find more information on the services provided.

You will also find more information about me, who I am, my qualifications and experience.

I set this service up to help people who are looking to provide additional parking space(s) for their own use or as an additional source of income, it is intended to be a personal service that is easy to use, fast and cost-effective.

THE SERVICE

As mentioned on my facebook page, I provide a free, initial consultation to determine whether you are likely to obtain planning permission to convert your front or back garden to a parking space(s).

In some cases, this may entail a conversation with your local planning officer and a review of your particular conservation area criteria.

I will need your postcode to determine whether any of your neighbours have converted their garden, if they have, the likelihood of you obtaining permission is very high.

The fixed service fee includes the provision of the necessary completed planning application forms, the required OS Location Plan, existing and proposed elevations and plan drawings as required by your local planning authority, and a tender specification drawing to enable you to get quotations from a local builder to complete the works. You will also need to obtain a quotation from an approved council contractor to modify the pavement and provide the dropped kerb, I should be able to obtain and provide you with the list of council approved contractors.

Please note that a metal drainage channel may be required to prevent stormwater running onto the public footpath, and this will either require a connection to the existing stormwater drainage system or the provision of a soakaway within your demise.

The fixed fee does not include the planning application fee of approximately £150 (it varies from LPA to LPA), this will be paid by you direct to your LPA via their website when the planning application has been submitted, I will provide you with the necessary reference numbers.

The planning application fee can be paid by cash, cheque or debit/credit card to your council.

I will provide you with a letter confirming the scope of services I will provide and additional information about what you will need to consider when looking for a local contractor to complete the works.

PAYMENT PROCESS

I will send you a copy of the completed drawings before the planning application is submitted, to confirm the necessary drawing work has been completed, at that point, I will request payment before the planning application has been submitted. If the council requests any additional information after the application has been submitted I will provide it at no additional cost.

The fixed service fee payment (usually £400) can be made via Paypal or bank transfer, a receipt will be provided.

Please feel free to ask me any questions or simply call me or message me via my facebook page to discuss your particular requirements.

Please note that you will find references from previous customers on my Facebook page.
